AMANECIÓ
They went to the Balkans to looking for joy melodies and vibrating rhythms and were found with the stark footprint of barbarity and they´ve came back with a work full of maturity compositional. The concern to find new musical experiences and the nomadic spirit which motivates them to search another realities, moved Boikot, Last December to the older Yugoslavia, a land burned by the war where still expand the embers of the last human fire in Europe . A place marked by the pain that paradoxically emanates music overwhelming of vitality, joy and “fanfarria”. Following the wake of that sound, the family composed by Juankar, Kosta, Alberto and Grass (bass, guitars, and drums respectively) landed in Pavarotti music center studios in Mostar ( Bosnia and Herzegovina ) thanks to the mediation of producer Javier Abreu for giving a Balkan folklore brush colour to the new album. The original instruments that Bosnian musicians have brought, mixed with the Italian ska contribution of Banda Bassotti winds section , a bit of Celtic music recorded in Galicia and an urban pink rock brand made in the house. That amalgam of sounds sculpt to an heterogeneous and mature new album in agreement with a longevity band that for two decades have known to progress day by day, to get this new 11th album plenty of deep message which amplify the hard evidence of war.
Alter a laborious and a long quarter of recording songs, with the first days of the spring will be coming soon “ amaneció”, the most ambitious arduous and intercultural project which Boikot are bringing to us and will leave you surprised… we´re sure.
